Experience
As someone who's worked in education for more than a decade, I'm extremely excited to have the chance to tutor anyone interested in improving their classroom skills. During my time as a teacher, I spent a lot of my time teaching English as a Second Language to students across Latin America, Asia, and Europe. This experience has given me the opportunity to work with students of all ages and proficiency level, including those who're looking to learn how to improve their writing skills. As a teacher, I believe it's important to take a student-centered approach that looks at more than just the classroom material. Because of this, I like to create lesson plans with my student's personality, strengths, and weaknesses in mind. By doing that, I am then able to come up with a teaching strategy that's designed specifically for them. Furthermore, I also believe in challenging my students without making the content too difficult. In my experience, students who set goals that are challenging but reachable are more likely to succeed in the classroom. When I'm not working as a teacher, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling outside of the United States, and playing basketball. I also like to play the guitar from time to time.
